We generate benchmarks, strategic insights, and open-access tools to support better decision-making on artificial intelligence in the Global South.
About
AIxo is a Latin America-based research initiative focused on producing strategic, evidence-based analysis to inform the global governance of artificial intelligence.
As an initiative emerging from Carreras con Impacto, AIxo is led by early-career researchers and supported by a growing network of international collaborators. We are committed to producing open-access, high-quality research that strengthens decision-making and brings new perspectives from the Global South into critical global conversations on AI.
Projects
Mathematical Benchmark in Spanish
We evaluate the performance of Spanish language models in mathematical reasoning tasks. This benchmark provides key data for use in education, research and technical development.
Economic Analysis of the Impact of AI
We study how AI technologies affect employment, productivity and economic growth. We focus on producing evidence useful for strategic decision making in Latin America.
Data Center Potential Map
We create interactive maps that identify regions with high potential for developing critical AI infrastructure, based on data on energy, connectivity and environmental risk.
